IT Carlow’s Tony Dever ahead of Sigerson Round One

IT Carlow begin their Sigerson Campaign once again this week. After a successful run last year IT Carlow will be hoping to go one step further this year. One of the many leaders on this team Tony Dever talks about his thoughts ahead of the game.

College team position: Wing back
Greatest sporting achievement? Winning the county u21 title with the club with the guys I grew up with.
What is your favourite memory of playing with College? Playing the Sigerson semi-final against UCC and the Sigerson weekend away
When did your college championship finish last year and against who? UCC in Cork in the Sigerson Semi-final
Who has been the most difficult player to mark in the Third level education competitions before? Mark Russell cause he survived last week
Who is your role model in the Third level education competitions? Kevin Ryan because he’s massive.
Who are you playing in the first round of championship and what are your expectations of this game? IT Sligo be a tough game. I would know one or two of their lads so it will be physical, it will be a close game can’t see there being much between us in the end.
What are your College team’s ambitions for the 2016 Sigerson championship? Same ambitions as last year take the games as they come and hopefully make the weekend again!
