Brian Lawlor steps down as Kildare hurling manager

Today Kildare GAA have released a statement in which they confirm that Brian Lawlor has end his term as Senior hurling manager for Kildare.

In his two years in charge of ‘The Lilywhites’, Lawlor had made huge strides for hurling in the county. In 2014, Kildare won their first ever Christy Ring title over Kerry meaning they also reached the promotion play-off against Westmeath. His side were forced to play the game the week after the Christy Ring final and for their sixth weekend in a row going into that promotion play-off. In 2015, Kildare have gained promotion to Division 2A of the Allianz Hurling League and also reached the Christy Ring semi-final where Kerry beat Kildare comprehensively.

Kildare GAA wished Brian luck in his future endeavors and thanked him for his work the last two years.

Kildare GAA would like to thank Brian for the work, commitment and dedication together with his attention to detail that he displayed in the past two years.

We would like to wish him well in the future.
