The GAA-GPA Opel player of the month awards for hurling have been announced.
In the final three nominees that are chosen Limerick, Galway and Dublin are the counties represented that are in contention for the award.
Dublin’s Mark Schutte, Limerick’s Cian Lynch and Galway’s Cyril Donnellan are the possible winners for the hurling award.
19 year old and 2014 minor captain, Lynch was man-of-the-match on his championship debut after he hit 0-3 in Limerick’s Munster quarter-final against Clare.
It’s all square for the three contenders as Donnellan also hit 0-3 for his side against Dublin last weekend and is available for this weekends replay against Dublin again.
His opposition Mark Schutte once again 0-3 against ‘The Tribesmen’ but he was awarded the man of the match award.
The winners will be chosen by the inter-county playing body and will be announced next Wednesday, 10 June.
