IT Carlow’s Meet the players: Tommy Gallagher

In conjunction with IT Carlow, has joined up to report on GAA games but also to introduce supporters to the players. This week in relation to the IT Carlow’s success in their Senior hurling league campaign,  which IT Carlow is competitng in the final is being played tonight (Wednesday 3rd December) 4.30pm in Fraher Field Dungarvan playing UCC. (Read report here) spoke to player and defender Tommy Gallagher.

Greatest sport achievement: Winning an All Ireland freshers with ITC, winning under 16 and minor ‘B’ All-Ireland’s with Westmeath

Favourite position: Centre back

Club: Robbie Greville or Aonghus Clarke
County: Maurice Shannon (Waterford) or Conal Keaney (Dublin)
If you could invite any 3 people for dinner who would it be?: Darren McCormack (My Hero), Colin Dunford and Paul Galvin.
Typical Saturday Night: Either working, getting ready for training or a match or on the beer with the lads.
Typical Student Night: Watching telly or a movie, might be in Tullys watching a match..
Advice to Young Players: Listen to the advice your coaches give you and practice as much as you can.
Best thing about playing GAA in IT Carlow: Make friends for life and hopefully win an All-Ireland.
