Jim McGuinness steps down as Donegal football manager

Last night it was confirmed by the Donegal County Board that Jim McGuinness had stepped down as Donegal’s senior football manager. The news was released on the Donegal County Board’s twitter with the following photo

Jim had served as u21 and senior manager for the last five years, during this time he lead Donegal to four provincial titles winning three and the memorable 2012 All-Ireland final which Donegal won. Speculation arose from his position following Donegal’s defeat to Kerry in this years All-Ireland Football final.
